2008 has a fulfilling and a great year … I believe 2009 is going to be so too, so is the year after and years after.
I believe in living life, and sharing joy and inspiration with people around me – I love to see happy faces! I believe that we are in control, and we live the life we choose. I choose to live life forward, learning and growing as an individual, as a contributing partner in love, in my blessed marriage, in my loving family, and in my valued friendship with many special individuals.
In living my life forward, I choose to make a career change to baking & pastry arts, in whatever capacity I may be or in multi-capacities I can be. I choose to spend quality time with my loved ones. I choose to be a positive and inspiring individual that touch lives through the actions I choose, the words I choose, the path I choose.
I am thankful for the people I met along my journey, really thankful - people who inspire me to be who I am today and whom I will continue to draw inspiration from.
Love, Laugh & Live.
Updated 25 March 2009 ~
I have been practising and upgrading my baking & pastry skills with a hotel in Singapore … a little hint: it is perched high and known as the Singapore tallest hotel. I do the misen place for the restaurant on level 69 and level 71. By 27 March, it will be my last day with the hotel. I contributed and learnt massively for the last 3 months.
What’s next? I am living life forward. More when I am ready.

Hi Joy,
I was searching for Singaporeans living in Houston and led me to your blog.
I am delighted to hear that you are living so happily there!
I am actually looking for a job in Houston but it seems that getting a company to sponsor visa for Singaporean to work in the States is difficult..Do you mind providing me some advice on what type of jobs or how I should go about finding a job in Houston?
I really appreciate a little help from you as it seems that there isn’t someone I can go to…
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you and Cheers,
Lisa
